This fabulous MCM round casserole dish by Glasbake, donning the Atomic Starburst pattern, is a delightful addition to cook or present your meals in.
HISTORY
Glasbake was introduced in 1907 by the McKee Glass Company (Pittsburgh, PA) as a competitor to Pyrex, offering heat-resistant soda-lime glass bakeware. It gained popularity from the 1920s to the 1970s, producing iconic mid-century designs like the Atomic Starburst. In the 1960s, McKee merged with Jeannette Glass (Jeannette, PA), continuing Glasbake’s production until its decline and closure around 1983.
DETAILS
- The dish measures 8" wide by 2" deep
- Oven safe to 350 degrees
- There are no chips or cracks. The design has some fading, but it's otherwise beautiful!
Don't be afraid to use this beauty! I do recommend hand washing to preserve the design. Enjoy!
