Game History:

Parker Brothers signed a contract with Charles B Darrow on March 19, 1935 and began selling Monopoly shortly thereafter. They quickly learned that the first patent actually belonged to Elizabeth Magie who's patent (after purchasing it from her) of 1,509,312 was the first to appear on the game after "Trade Mark" and then "Patent Pending".

Game Details:

🎲 Finished size = approximately 21" x 21"
🎲The board is in amazing shape and it's over 60 years old! The surface is in great condition!
🎲 All pieces are present and look to be practically new. It does appear that the Ventnor Ave card was replaced due to a bend and some discoloration. All houses and hotels are present as well as Community Chest and Chance Cards. I did not count the money, but there is plenty and it appears new.
🎲 The box is sturdy and in fantastic shape. The inserts are in great condition.

Games contain small pieces and are not intended for children under the age of 4.
