CHOOSE PURCHASE OPTION:

This 1953 red mustache Monopoly board and utensil set is a fun and unique item for the collector in your life!

Parker Brothers' patent expired on December 31, 1952. As they often did, they made use of their existing inventory and, in this case, they printed mustaches over the expired patent on their box and board labels. This set is considered hard to find.

*PLEASE NOTE: If choosing Game plus Frame, please allow 3 weeks build time.

Game History:

Parker Brothers signed a contract with Charles B Darrow on March 19, 1935 and began selling Monopoly shortly thereafter. They quickly learned that the first patent actually belonged to Elizabeth Magie who's patent (after purchasing it from her) of 1,509,312 was the first to appear on the game after "Trade Mark" and then "Patent Pending".
