This 82 year old card game is a classic from the past and has created wonderful family game night memories for so many. Start a new family tradition!
Game History:
George S. Parker (of Parker Brothers) and his wife Grace created this game in 1906 as an alternative to the standard deck of cards that some religions had objections to because of the face cards. By 1913, Rook was the best selling game in the US and continued to be Parker Brothers top selling game until Monopoly was introduced.
Game Details:
🎲 Size = approximately 5.5" x 4"
🎲 All 56 cards are present, in great condition and almost no wear. The yellow 6 and the black 14 have light marks on the facing of the card. The Rook info card is included.
🎲 The instruction booklet contains over 20 games and is in fantastic condition. The back of the book has about a 1" stain.
🎲 The box is sturdy and still has the original price sticker from Sears, Roebuck and Co.! The lid has some stains, wrinkles and a crayon "ROOK" written on the side. The bottom has some stains and wrinkles.
