This charming 1937 Touring card game by Parker Brothers is a wonderful piece of vintage gaming history. Originally designed to entertain families during the Great Depression era, the beautifully illustrated cards capture the nostalgic spirit of 1930s American road trips and leisure travel.
HISTORY
Touring was designed by William Janson Roche and produced by the Wallie Dorr Company (a pool table maker) starting in 1906. Parker Brothers purchased the rights in 1925. Parker Brothers sold this game until the 1960s, but discontinued the game after they purchased the rights for Mille Bornes from France's Miro Company. Mille Bornes was basically a modified version of Touring.
