A lovely Parker Brothers Pastime Puzzle to be completed again and again.
This Parker Brothers puzzle is based on the painting by English artist, George Romney (1734 - 1802) of Emma Hamilton, mistress of Lord Nelson.
The optional handmade wood tray is ideal for completing these Pastime Puzzles, keeping the pieces contained while putting it together and allowing you to move the tray from room to room as you complete it. The puzzle can be displayed in the tray, tilted at an angle.
*PLEASE NOTE: If choosing puzzle plus tray, please allow 2 weeks build time.
Puzzle History:
Parker Brothers released the Pastime Puzzles in 1908 (in their catalog) and by early 1909. they were producing 15,000 per week. They remained very popular, played by Presidents, Czars and the Royal Family, until the early 1930s. The last Pastime Puzzles were manufactured until the 1950s.
