This 1895 McLoughlin Brothers Lotto game is wonderful find for your game collector!

This 1895 McLoughlin Brothers Lotto (No. 327) game is in fantastic condition! From the McLoughlin Brothers 1895 catalog for the #327 game offered:
"The box is of wood, covered with fancy paper, and has a lithographed label. It contains 24 cards, a set of counters, and a Box of glass sufficient for the cards."

Older catalogs mention that this is a famous German game. This game was listed for 60 cents to dealers back then.

Game History:

McLoughlin Brothers were known for their gorgeous artwork, both in games and books. They used chromolithography for their games, including incredible colors and graphics. Their game division was purchased by Milton Bradley in 1920.

Game Details:

🎲 The box is made of wood and is in remarkable condition for being almost 130 years old! Some paper is missing and there appears to be a missing divider in the box, but both the top and bottom are just incredible. The colors are AMAZING!
🎲 26 wooden number markers (many appear to be missing)
🎲 45 glass markers
🎲 23 out of 24 cards (one of the "2" cards is missing) are present and in great condition. One "4" card has creases and a couple have writing and a sticker on the back. Many have faint writing. See pictures.
🎲 A bag that is for the numbered pieces is mentioned in the rules, but is not present.
🎲 Red, White and Blue counters are mentioned in the rules, but none are present. They appear to have been used for creating a "Pool" to win at the end of the game.

Approximately 10.75 x 9.75

Lotto (or Loto) is very similar to Bingo (or Beano). Some instructions indicate that the winner is the first person to complete a row on their card. Other versions of Lotto indicate that the entire card needs to be covered to win the game.

CONTAINS SMALL PARTS AND IS NOT INTENDED FOR CHILDREN 4 AND UNDER. USE CAUTION WHEN HANDLING THE GLASS MARKERS.
